LA CRESCENT, Minn. — Charles E. Seeley, 96, of La Crescent died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Golden Living Center in La Crescent. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, La Crescent.

LA CRESCENT, Minn. – Charles E. Seeley, 96, of La Crescent died on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Golden Living Center in La Crescent. He was born on March 17, 1911, in Stanley, Wis., to Charles and Bertha (Raukenstein) Seeley. He married Signe T. Sorenson, and she preceded him in death. Charles served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a clerk for the railroad for many years. He was very involved in his church while living in Fridley, Minn.

Charles is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Hutzenbuehler of La Crosse; four grandchildren, David (Laurel) Hutzenbuehler, Daniel (Diane) Hutzenbuehler, Diane (Steve) Schulz and Dawn (Steve) Dull; 13 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Hank (Millie) Seeley of Wyoming, Minn.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Dennis Hutzenbuehler; a great-grand-daughter, Angela Peterson; two sisters; and one brother.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pastor Donald Iliff will officiate. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of
