Services Tuesday For Accident Victim
The funeral for Cecil A. Seeley, 45, who died last night in a car accident in Route 9, will be conducted from Sweet’s Funeral home, 29 South Post road, Hyde Park, Tuesday at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Requiem to be offered at Regina Coeli church, Hyde Park at 9:30 a.m.
Mr. Seeley, 10 Red Barn road, Hyde Park, had been a truck driver for Old Colony Transportation Co., city. He was a member of the Teamster’s union, Local 445, and a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
A communicant of Regina Coeli church, he also belonged to its Holy Name society. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was born in Saratoga Springs, June 24, 1916, the son of Mrs. Clara Seeley Ruhle, city, and the late Samuel Rhodes.
Mr. Seeley came to this city when he was 12 years old, and had lived in Hyde Park the last 13 years. On June 18, 1939, he married the former Miss Helen Frazier, who survives.
In addition to his wife and mother, surviving are his step-father, Elmer Ruhle, city; two daughters, Sheryl Ann and Gayle Frances Seeley, at home; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Marione, Millbrook, and two brothers, Edwin and John Ruhle, Hyde Park.
Interment will be in St. Peter’s cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and night and Monday night, when the Moose will have special services and the Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock.

Cecil Seeley, 10 Red Bard road, Springwood Village, Hyde Park, was killed shortly after midnight today when his automobile and a tractor-trailer were in collision in Route 9, the North road, about 1,500 feet south of the main entrance to the Hudson River State hospital. This photo was taken in 1945 when Mr. Seeley was serving in the Navy.
