CATHERINE A. SEELEY MAY 18, 1950 MAY 14, 2005
Catherine A. Seeley, a former lab technician and longtime friend of the disabled, died unexpectedly Saturday in her Cheektowaga home. She was 54.
Born Catherine Priester in Buffalo, she attended Most Holy Redeemer School and Archbishop Carroll High School. She later worked at St. Rita’s Home for the mentally and physically disabled and often cared for the children on weekends. She was a technician with ACTS Testing Laboratories in Amherst for 14 year before retiring in 2004.
Mrs. Seeley was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and a past member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She had been a member of Foster Parents for Disabled Children since 1976 and enjoyed reading and ceramics.
Surviving are her husband, Michael A.; a daughter, Amanda of Cheektowaga; two sons, Zane of Williamsville and Brock of Erie, Pa.; two foster sons, Donald Smith and Robert Siuta, both of Cheektowaga; two sisters, Janet Schulz of Depew and Mary Lou Kinzie of Pawley’s Island, S.C.; a brother, Edward Priester of Irving; and two grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Ridge Road and South Park Avenue, Lackawanna.
