Mrs. Ruel E. Seeley

Mrs. Carrie Seeley, 73, wife of Ruel E. Seeley of 43 South Union died at her home at 7 a.m. today following a heart attack.  Mrs. Seeley had been in failing health but was not seriously ill until the attack this morning.  Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Otis Ketcham of Dowling, Mrs. Fred Bracey of 71 South McKinley avenue, Mrs. Roy Callaway of 135 North McKinley and Miss Ruella Seeley, at home; two sons, Harley Seeley of 76 Yale and Corp. Murray Seeley, formerly of 71 South McKinley, now stationed at Greiger Field, Wash.; eight grandchildren and a brother, Alexander Murray of Battle Creek township.  Mrs. Seeley was born Nov. 15, 1870, in Climax township, Kalamazoo county, a daughter of Alexander and Margaret Murray.  She married Mr. Seeley Nov. 4, 1891, in Leroy township.  They have lived in Battle Creek for the last 43 years.  She was a member of the Baptist church of Leroy and also of the Royal Neighbors.
