SEELEY, Bernice M., 80, died on Dec. 15, 2002 in Seattle, Wash. She was a longtime resident of Tampa, and a member of the First Church of God, Busch Blvd. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Ernest E. and Irma Shaw, and husband, Walter G. Seeley. Survivors include sisters, Naomi Hendrickson of Centralia, Wash., and Lois Donaldson, Auburndale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa.

Bernice Mae Seeley

Bernice Mae Seeley, a Centralia resident since 1987, died Sunday, Dec. 15, at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, at the age of 80. She was born April 9, 1922, in Akron, Ohio, to Ernest E. and Irma W. (Hanes) Shaw. Her father was a minister, so the family lived in various parts of the country including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Indiana.

On June 8, 1952, she married Victor S. Petterson in Joliet, Ill. He died in 1962. She married Walter G. Seeley Oct. 3, 1964, in Tampa, Fla. He died in 1983.

Seeley worked for many years as a key punch operator for General Motors and Delco Remy Corp. While living in Florida, she worked for Winn-Dixie Foods for several years. A member of Centralia Community Church of God. She enjoyed embroidery, antiquing, going to flea markets and entertaining.

Survivors include two sisters, Naomi R. Hendrickson of Centralia, and Lois S. Donaldson of Auburndale, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorials may be donations to Veterans Memorial Museum, 712 W. Main, Centralia, Wash. 98531.

Visitation may be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia, which is in charge of arrangements.

A funeral for Bernice May Seeley will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia, with the Rev. Darcy Fast officiating. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Tampa, Fla.
