A memorial service for Benjamin F. Seelye Jr., 49, of Wauconda, was held March 6 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, Palatine. Born Feb. 9, 1953 in Chicago, he died March 2 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Mr. Seelye was a member of American Legion Post 690 in Palatine.
He is survived by his companion, Janet Selig; a son, Benjamin F. III (Sheila); and three sisters, Terry Mars, Vicky Bason and Linda (Joe) Farhat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin St. and Beverly.
Interment was private. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
