Barbara Ruth Seeley, 75, of Greenfield, died January 6, 2011 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, surrounded by family.
She was born June 3, 1935 in Greenfield, the daughter of Donald Ellis Borden and Lillian Louise (O’Brien) Borden.
She retired from Merchants National Bank in Greenfield in 2001, after a lifelong career in banking. She was a 1953 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School.
She was a member of East Monroe United Methodist Church
Mrs. Seeley is survived by her husband, George Seeley of Greenfield, whom she married December 24, 1955; two daughters, Rebecca (Harold) Beatty of Greenfield and Kelley (Travis) Branson of Ooltewah, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Joel (Connie) Ballentine, Brittany Fairley, Colton Branson, Malorie Branson and Cooper Branson; one step grandchild, Bridgette (Jason) Campbell; one great grandchild, Heath Beatty Jr.; four step great grandchildren, Kassandra Beatty, Dawson Beatty, Caitlin Campbell and Nolan Campbell; one sister, Donna Lou (Paul) Penn of Greenfield; one step sister; Eileen Elmore of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Borden of Tampa, Florida; her step mother, Louise Borden of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: John Bob Borden and Richard Ellis Borden, and a step grandchild, Heath Beatty.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 10, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Pastor Tom Knauff and Pastor Wayne Combs officiating and burial in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, January 9.
