FORT ANN – Anne K. Seeley, 78, of 52 George St., died Monday (July 29, 1991) at St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany.
Born on May 27, 1913, in Fair Haven, Vt., she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ellen Kelso.
Mrs. Seeley was a retired second grade teacher for the Fort Ann School system, serving for 41 years.
She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Fort Ann and a member of Court Mater Mariae 1663 Catholic Daughter of America. She was also a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and the Queen Ann Senior Citizens of Fort Ann.
Her husband, Horace J. Seeley, died Nov. 21, 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Mary Ellen) Grippin of Colonie and Mrs. Wray (Rose Anne) Jackson of Fort Ann; one sister, Katherine Amidon of Hinsdale, N.H.; and four grandchildren, Kelly Carswell and Scott Carswell, both of Colonie, and Michael Jackson and Matthew Jackson, both of Fort Ann.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Fort Ann, with the Rev. Will Girard, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Mason Funeral Home, 63 George St., Fort Ann. Members of Court Mater Mariae 1663 Catholic Daughters of America will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorial donations be made to the Anne K. Seeley Scholarship Fund, in care of Sally Walker, Fort Ann Central School, Fort Ann, 12827.
