Ada M Sealey

Ada M. Sealey, a Buffalo seamstress, died Thursday in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a long illness.

Sealey worked for many years at several Buffalo establishments, making alterations and mending clothing. She last worked at United Men’s on Bailey Avenue.

Her biggest enjoyment was to take automobile rides with her husband to California, Florida and Canada, where she visited friends and relatives.

“Whenever Ada saw someone she knew, she would greet them with the biggest smile, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to family friends,” said Helen Rodday, a sister-in-law.

She is survived by her husband, George; two sons, Fitzroy of Grenada and Clennel of New York City; three daughters, Gemma of New York City, Kana of Cheektowaga and Reba of Horseheads; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 724 Delaware Ave.{stvns}
