Seeley-Amell Vows Exchanged

CARDINAL, July 15 – A pretty double ring ceremony took place in St. John’s United Church when Carla Glover Amell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Amell of Cardinal and William David Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Seeley, also of Cardinal, were united in marriage by Rev. C. Freake, of Spencerville, assisted by Rev. N. Winsor, of Cardinal.

Mrs. Ruby Bell, of Brinston, was organist, and the soloist, Mrs. Alex Roy, Cardinal, sang O Promise Me and I Love You Truly.

Summer flowers formed the setting, and white ribbon rosettes centred with pink roses, adorned the pews.

Mrs. Donald Davy, was matron of honor and Miss Lynne Amell, sister of the bride, and Joanne Chidley, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. Leo Merkley was best man, and the ushers were Wayne Childly, cousin of the bride, and Frank Seeley, brother of the bridegroom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride with 90 guests attending.
