Seely – Van Gorden Wedding at Knoxville

Knoxville, June 27. – A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Herbert L. Seely on June 25 when his elder daughter, Stella, became bride of Robert C. VanGorden, of Rochester. They were attended by Miss Dorothy Seely, sister of the bride and Horace Ludlam, a friend of the groom. Rev. A.G. Lawton, of the First Baptist church, performed the ceremony under a bower of ferns and roses, using the impressive ring service.

The bride was gowned in white flat crepe and her bouquet was roses and lilies. The bridesmaid wore yellow georgette crepe and carried yellow and white roses. The table was attractively decorated, carryout out the color scheme of yellow and white.

Immediately following the ceremony an informal dinner was served to the following quests: Rev. and Mrs. A.G. Lawton, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. VanGorden, Mrs. George B. Wright, Frank A. Seely, Horace Ludlam, Herbert L. Seely, Wright Seely, Ralph Seely.

After a short automobile trip the young couple will reside in Rochester, N.Y.
