Mrs. Roland Kester (Ruth LaVerne Seely) was married January 10 at the Nazarene church in Oregon City, Rev. Bertrand F. Peterson officiating. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Seely, Sherwood. Mr. Kester’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin D. Kester, McMinnville.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white embroidered net and taffeta dress with finger-tip veil falling from a pearl headband. She carried white chrysanthemums.

Miss Elsie Seely was her sister’s maid of honor, and Miss Leota Kester, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid.

Arlan Couch was best man. Ushers were Sterling Burkey, Clyde Forsberg and Russell Cameron.

The newlyweds are now at home in Portland.
