Rozella Seely, James Wadlow Wedded March 1
A recent event was the wedding of Miss Rozella Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Seely, 528 Boardman street, to James Earl Wadlow, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wadlow of Central Point. The ceremony was performed Monday, March 1, at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Rondo Clark, 1406 ½ Florence Lane in Grant Pass, with the Rev. Wright officiating.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white satin with finger-tip length white satin with finger-tip length veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of bouvardia and Cecil Brunner roses. Mrs. Clark was bridesmaid and Mrs. Harry Marks, another aunt of the bride, was matron-of-honor. Mrs. Clark wore a frock of aqua taffeta while Mrs. Marks was gowned in rose crepe and both carried colonial bouquets of pink sweet peas and white carnations.
Mrs. Lew Gilman of Medford provided the wedding music.
Robert Hopkins served as best man for the groom and Harry Caton, uncle of the bride, seated the guests.
A reception followed the ceremony with Mrs. Gilman and Mrs. Merle Vance serving and Mrs. Boyd Wilson in charge of the bride’s book.
For her daughters wedding Mrs. Seely wore a pink gown and the bridegroom’s mother was attired in an aqua colored dress. Both wore corsages of white carnations.
Among the wedding guests were the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Seely of Grants Pass and Mrs. E.M. Caton, also the bride’s grandmother; the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Wadlow; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Seely of Medford, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Harry Marks.
Mr. Wadlow and his bride are at home to friends at 245 North Grape street in this city. Mrs. Wadlow was educated in the Medford schools while her husband received his education in Texas.
