Roy Sue Seely Becomes Bride of Henry Hays

PLANO, Texas (Sp.) – Miss Roy Sue Seely and Henry Howard Hays were married Saturday night in Justin Baptist Church, Justin, the Rev. Dan Cummins officiating. The couple will live in Denton while attending North Texas State College, after a wedding trip to lake Murray, Okla.

The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack A. Harmonson of Justin, is a senior at North Texas State College where she is a member of Student National Education Association, Association for Childhood Education and Green Jackets. She is vice-president of Bruce Hall.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Hays, is working on his Master’s degree at North Texas. He was graduated from Arlington State College and North Texas.

Given in marriage by Mr. Harmonson, the bride chose a taffeta gown re-embroidered in French lace, pearls and sequins. A large bow and drape on the bouffant skirt formed a chapel train. Her fingertip illusion veil fell from a beaded pillbox, and she carried stephanotis, an orchid and English ivy.

Miss Mary Helen Faught of Justin and Billy Joe Whitfield were honor attendants. Miss Carolyn Hardgrove of Fort Worth and Mrs. Charles Merritt were bridesmaids. Ushers and groomsmen were Edward Seely of Justin, Charles Merritt, Mack Smith of Hooks and George Shannon of Forth Worth. Mrs. Edd Lewis and Mrs. Bobby Reedy were musicians.

The reception was in the church annex.
