Miss Melinda Hutchison and Robert L. Seely were united in marriage in a single ring ceremony performed at Ely, Nev., June 22.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Hutchison, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Seely, all of Green River.
The young couple are both graduates of Green River high school where they were active in school affairs. The both attended Carbon College in Price.
They are at home in Salt Lake City where Mr. Seely is employed with Hercules Powder Co.
The newlyweds were guests Saturday night at a shower given in their honor by Mrs. Paul Price, Mrs. Clifford Bigelow and Mrs. Arnold Schell.
In the receiving line with the bride and groom and their parents were Mrs. Florence Seely, grandmother of the groom; Mrs. Barbara Preston, aunt of the groom; Jeanny and Keith, brother and sister of the bridegroom.
Refreshments were served and a program was given with Rey-Lloyd Hatt as master of ceremonies. Participating on the program were Mrs. Clark Riches, a vocal solo accompanied by Mrs. Blaine Evans; Rev. Dougherty, vocal solo, with accordion accompaniment; Darrel Ross, vocal solo, accompanied by Mrs. Evans, and a piano solo by Larry Beebe.
The young couple received many gifts at the reception.
Mrs. Frank Donelson of Mt. Vernon is the bride’s grandmother.
