Miss Reuter Becomes Bride in St. Paul’s Church Rites

In a 2 o’clock ceremony, yesterday afternoon, in St. Paul’s Episcopal church, Miss Marlene K. Reuter became the bride of Robert F. Seeley. The Rev. William T. Gray, rector, officiated, with Miss Lillian Taylor at the organ. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Reuter, 11 Monell avenue. Mr. Seeley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orval T. Brown, reside in White Oaks road, Hyde Park.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in Chantilly lace, nylon tulle and crystalette over slipper satin. The fitted crystalette bodice was designed with a scoop neckline trimmed with Chantilly lace and iridescent sequins, and long pointed sleeves. The full nylon tulle skirt had a crystalette peplum and terminated in a chapel train of crystalette. Her fingertip veil of pure silk illusion had a hand-rolled edge and was caught to a coronet of seed pearls and iridescent sequins. She carried a cascade arrangement of white roses centered with a white orchid.

Miss Gwendolyn Runk, city, cousin of the bride, the maid of honor, wore a full length gown of lilac chiffon, the bodice of which was trimmed with tiny white lace daisies and had an attached, draped stole. Her headpiece was a matching horsehair cartwheel and she carried a cascade arrangement of white daisies and yellow Sweetheart roses.

The bridesmaid, Miss Arlene Fenwick, Hyde Park, wore a similar gown, only in mint green, with a matching horsehair cartwheel. She carried a cascade arrangement of white daisies and yellow Sweetheart roses.

The bride’s mother was dressed in yellow print chiffon with a full shirt, and lilac and yellow accessories. Her corsage was purple orchid. Mrs. Brown wore powder blue lace with a flared skirt. She had a pink complements and a corsage of pink roses.

Ronald Seeley, city, was best man for his brother. Ushering were Joseph Hues, Hyde Park, cousin of the bridegroom: Richard Reuter and John Reuter Jr., city, brothers of the bride.

Immediately after the ceremony there was a reception a Poughkeepsie Inn. Upon their return from a southern wedding trip, the couple will reside in 47 Kinry road. For travel, Mrs. Seeley chose a brown and tangerine chiffon dress and brown coat ensemble. She had a tangerine hat and gloves and luggage tan shoes and handbag.

A graduate of Roosevelt High school, class of 1954, the bride is employed as a secretary at the IBM Research laboratory.

Mr. Seeley was graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1953 and served for three years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is employed as a timekeeper by the Daystom Electric Co.
