Miss Seely of Arroyo Wed in Santa Barbara to Fred George Low

Miss Miriam Elizabeth Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Seely of Arroyo Grande, was united in marriage with Fred George Low at Trinity Episcopal church, Santa Barbara, on June 21.

Los is the son of Mrs. Louise Low of Santa Barbara.

Rev. Richard Flagg Ayres officiated at the double ring ceremony, and the bride was given in marriage by her father.

She wore a full-length white crepe gown, with finger tip veil cascading from a crown of white carnations and bouvardia.
Her bouquet was of white gladioli and lilies of the valley centered with two lavender orchids.

Miss Lola Lierly was bridesmaid and was gowned in rose crepe with contrasting coronet and carried blue delphinium.

The bride’s attendants are both of Arroyo Grande.

Dick O’Neill of Santa Barbara, served as best man, and ushers wee Earl Seely, brother of the bride, and Roscoe Low, cousin of the bridegroom.

The bride’s mother wore gray with black and white accessories and an orchid corsage.

Mrs. Low wore a navy and white print with navy accessories and orchids.

Decorations of the church were effective a scheme of all-white Gladiola, carnations and stocks were grouped in large arrangements near the altar, and the pews were marked with large satin bows.
A reception at the Whitehouse tea room, Santa Barbara, followed the ceremony, and the bride and bridegroom cut a large three-tiered wedding cake. Many from Arroyo Grande and elsewhere in the state were present at both wedding and reception.

On their return from a honeymoon spent in northern California, the Low’s will make their home in Santa Barbara, where they will resume their studies at Santa Barbara college in the fall. They met as students at the college.

The bride is a graduate of the Arroyo Grande Union high school, and the bridegroom attended Santa Barbara schools before two years of naval service during the war.
