Miss Addie Jane Ware, daughter of Burton H. Ware of Guys Mills, RD 3, became the bride of Melvin Glenn Seely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Seely of Erie, at 2 p.m. on Jan. 11 in the parsonage of the Chapmanville Methodist Church.

The single-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. John L. Murray, pastor of the church.

The bride’s attire consisted of a white street-length dress of nylon taffeta, white shoes and white hat. She wore a corsage of yellow roses.

Mrs. Bernita Ware was her cousin’s matron of honor. She was attired in an aqua dress and her corsage was of white gardenias.

Ellis Ware, brother of the bride, was best man.

A reception was held in the Cooperstown Fire Hall at 3:30 p.m., followed by a dance in the hall from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Aides were Miss Donna Copeland, Mrs. Marion McPheters, Mrs. Ovis Morrison and Mrs. Helen Kleber.

Following a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Seely are living at 2334 McKinley Ave., Erie.

Mrs. Seely is a 1953 graduate of Townville Consolidated High School. Mr. Seely attended Wilson High School. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he is employed as a structural iron worker by Rust Engineering Co. of Pittsburgh.

Miss Donna Copeland was Hostess at a pre-wedding shower for the bride.

Guests attended the wedding from Erie, Cooperstown, Saegertown, Maple Hill, Chapmanville, Franklin, Oil City, Diamond, Waterford and Tryonville.
