Joyal – Seely

DELRAY BEACH – Miss Mary Faunce Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Seely, became the bride of Ronald (note: should be Roland) Joyal, USA, in a ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Monday evening at eight o’clock. Bishop William Hall Moreland read the marriage vows before the altar banked with Easter lilies and palms. White tapers burned on the altar and in two seven-branched candelabra.

Mrs. Clint Moore played nuptial music on the organ before the ceremony. She also played the wedding marches.

Miss Katherine Jennings, maid of honor, wore a floor length gown of pink chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink roses. She wore a cap of flowers and net. Albert L. Greenwood was best man.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a long white gown with lace bodice and bouffant skirt of marquisette. Her fingertip veil fell from a Juliet cap of tulle and white gardenias. She carried a spray of gardenias and Queen Anne’s lace.

Mr. and Mrs. Seeley entertained at a reception at their home on Southeast Fifth Ave. immediately after the service. Mrs. Russell Belden, Mrs. Albert Greenwood and Mrs. C. Roland Yanson assisted in entertaining. Mrs. Clifford Whiddon and Miss Margery Greenwood were in charge of the bride’s book.

The bridal couple left immediately after the reception for a short trip. They will return Friday to reside here while Pfc. Joyal is stationed at Boca Raton Field.

The bride has resided here for three years since coming from Ardmore, Pa. She is a member of the Junior Woman’s Club and has been active in USO work.

Pfc. Joyal is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Joyal of New York City. Due to illness of the bridegroom’s father, his parents were unable to attend the wedding.
