Seelye – Motichka

Miss Judith A. Seelye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Seelye of Kila, became the bride June 20 of Myron L. Motchika, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Motichka of Columbia Falls, in a service performed by Rev. J.B. Plummer in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Baskets of pink gladioli and white carnations decorated the altar for the ceremony. Mrs. Robert Stahlberg provided the music.

Miss Fay Seelye, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Other bridal attendants were Kathy Sprehn of Seattle, Judy Wilke, Neila Luke and Cheri Seelye. Bill Voermans was best man. The couple’s brothers, Neal Motichka and Terril Seelye,Gary Hewitt and Duane Becker were groomsmen. Mike Guthrie, Jim Sutton and Dan Seelye ushered.

The bride’s long gown was of white satin with a lace-covered bodice and sleeves. Her train was trimmed with matching lace. A white satin rose caught her finger tip veil. She carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and white carnations. Her great-grandmother’s rosary was entwined in her bouquet.

Assisting at the reception in the Social Center of the church were Mrs. Tom Aarhus of Seattle, Mrs. Carter Fritz, Mrs. Herman Schultz, Mrs. Ray Lake, Mrs. Bob Miller and Melody, Susan and Sharon Seelye.

After a honeymoon trip to Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Seelye (sic) are residing in rural Columbia Falls where the bridegroom farms.

The bride, a 1966 graduate of Flathead High School, is employed by Equity Supply Co. The bridegroom a 1965 graduate of Columbia Falls High School, attended Northern Montana College in Havre for two years. He is a member of the National Guard.
