Woodburn – At a simple home wedding Monday evening, November 20, solemnized at the bride’s home, Miss Wilma M. Koenig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koenig, became the bride of Hubert H. Seely, U.S. army, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Seely, all of Woodburn.

The Rev. D. Lester Fields of the Methodist church read the service at 8:30 o’clock in the presence of the immediate families only.

Preceding the ceremony Miss Dorothy Koenig, sister of the bride, sang, accompanied by Mrs. L.K. Ballinger, a sister of the bridegroom, who also played the wedding march.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white wool suit with a corsage of gardenias. Her only attendant was her sister, Mrs. Clifford Guilliford, who wore a frock of blue with gardenia corsage. A.N. Winegarden, a brother-in-law of the bridegroom served as best man.

A reception followed the ceremony after which the young couple left for a brief wedding trip. Both are graduates of Woodburn high school and are well known in this community. Pvt. Seely, who has been stationed in Alaska, will leave for Fort Lewis for reassignment and Mrs. Seely will remain at her home here until their future plans are arranged.
