Walton Church Is Setting Of Seeley-Van Loan Rites

WALTON – The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church here was the setting for the nuptials of Willo Joan Van Loan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George VanLoan, this village, and A3/c Gordon L. Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Seeley, also of Walton.

The Rev. Henry T. Roe solemnized the double ring rites. Mrs. Charles Wilson was pianist.

Given away by her father, the bride wore an aqua knitted suit with gunmetal accessories and white carnations. Her attendant, Miss Elinor Biedekapp, Walton, choose a rose-knitted suit with brown accessories and white carnations.

The bride’s mother wore purple taffeta and the bridegroom’s mother chose dark green crepe. Both had corsages of white pompons.

Reginald Seeley, Walton, was his brother’s best man.

A reception for the immediate families was held at the bride’s home.

The bridegroom will return to Chanute Air Force Base, Ill., where his wife will join him in March.

The former Miss VanLoan graduated from Walton Central School in 1950 and is employed as a secretary by Dr. Robert V. Schotken and Dr. David G. Doane here. Airman Seeley attended Walton Central.
