Seelye – Hewitt

Miss Fay Seelye, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Seelye of Kila, and Gary W. Hewitt, son of Mrs. Bernard Gerrity of Polson and the late James O. Hewitt, were married Nov. 1 in a service performed by the Rev. Maurice Medina in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gordon Stahlberg was organist for the double-ring ceremony. Baskets of pink and white chrysanthemums decorated the altar. A white aisle runner completed the appointments.

The couple was attended by the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Motichka of Columbia Falls. Ushering were the bride’s brother, Terril Seelye, and Dan Seelye.

The bride’s A-line gown was of white lace over taffeta with a lace train caught at the neckline with a large lace bow. Her bouffant veil was gathered to a satin pillbox. The rosary of her late great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Barbara Miller, was entwined in her bouquet of pink rosebuds and white carnations.

The newlyweds greeted their guests during a reception in the Social Center. Those assisting included Mrs. Robert Miller, Mrs. Ray Lake, Mrs. Terril Seelye and Misses Karen Rankinson and Melody, Susan and Barbara Seelye.

The bride, a 1969 graduate of Flathead High School, is attending Mr. Mack’s Beauty School in Bozeman. The bridegroom is a 1966FHS graduate and is a senior at Montana State University in Bozeman. He is a member of Alpha Zeta, agricultural honorary.

After a honeymoon at Great Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Hewitt are residing in Bozeman.

Hosing a pre-nuptial shower for the bride-elect was Mrs. Terril Seelye with Mrs. Myron Motichka assisting.
