Dolores E. Seeley Becomes Bride Of Carvell Cronkite At Fort Fairfield.

Fort Fairfield, July 27. – Miss Dolores Elaine Seeley, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence C. Seeley of Forest Avenue, Fort Fairfield, became the bride of Carvell Cronkite, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Cronkite, Fort Fairfield, Thursday afternoon. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Olsen in the United Parish Church.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of off-white slipper satin entrain. Her finger-tip veil of illusion fell from a shirred coronet caught with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white Madonna lilies.

Miss Evelyn Pratt, Malden, Mass, who was the bride’s roommate this past year, was the maid of honor. Miss Patricia Haley, cousin of the bride was the flower girl.

Gerald Cronkite, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Roger Seeley, brother of the bride, Darrell Kingsley, cousin of the bride, Graydon Haines, Jr., cousin of the bride and Robert Hockenhull, friend of the bridegroom, were ushers.

A wedding reception was held in the home of the bride’s parents.

The guests were received by the bride and bridegroom and their attendants.

Miss Phyllis Cronkite, sister of the bridegroom, Mrs. Graydon Haines, Jr., Miss Harriet Barnes, Miss Betty Harriman of Bangor, Mrs. Darrell Kingsley, and Miss Betty McKenney served the refreshments.

Miss Rheta Robinson was in charge of the guestbook. Miss Natalie Johnston, Presque Isle, Miss Joanne Lindgren, Malden, Mass, and Miss Peggy Jackson, Brunswick, were in charge of the gift table. Other out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnston, Presque Isle and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon, Mac Bay, Brunswick.

The couple is on a wedding trip and upon their return, will be at home at their Hoyt Road farm.

The bride is a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and attended the University of Main. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and served for two and a half years with the USMC. He is engaged in farming.
