Griggs-Seely Nuptials

Seattle, Wash., will be the home of newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Warren Myrle Griggs, who were married June 15 in formal ceremonies at Good Hope Methodist Church, Algona, Ia.

The bride is the former Claudette Kay Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Seely of Algona.

Her bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Myrtle Griggs, 1320 E. Linden St. He was graduated from the University of Arizona where he studied electrical engineering. He will begin working for Boeing in Seattle Monday.

The bride chose a gown of silk bombazine with a yoke of chantilly type lace for the wedding. Her pearl earrings and bracelet were a gift of the bridegroom.

Miss Mary Keith of Burt, Ia., and Miss Leona Anderson of Thompson, Ia., were maid of honor and bridesmaid, respectively.

Floyd Hutzell served as best man and Bill Dewell as groomsman. Kent Seely, brother of the bride, and Dave Yeoman ushered.
Guests were received in the church parlors immediately after the wedding. Later, a buffet supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls.

Mr. Griggs’ affiliations at UA included Acacia fraternity and Tau Beta Pi and Pi Mu Epsilon honoraries.
