Mr. and Mrs. Orville H. Harpster of 726 Logan avenue, Hilltop, Hollidaysburg, announce the marriage of their son, Technical Sergeant Glenn Conwell Harpster, to Miss Charlotte Marvel Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seely of Hinsdale, Mont.
The ceremony was performed Dec. 30, 1943, by Rev. Ira H. Peak, minister of the First Lutheran church of Ardmore, Okla., the double ring service being used. For exchanging their vows, the couple stood in front of a fireplace arranged with Yuletide greens. The bride was attired in navy blue with deep rose carnation corsage. Her attendant, Miss Jackie Welcher of Ardmore, chose an aqua dress with corsage of pink carnations. Mess Sergeant Norman Threewitt was best man.
The bridegroom is stationed at the Ardmore army base as section chief of maintenance. He was graduated from Scott field, Ill., radio school and was instructor in radio and code at Geiger field, Spokane, Wash., where he met his bride who was employed at the Spokane air depot.
After a two-week furlough spent at the home of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Harpster have returned to their newly furnished apartment at 205 Tenth avenue, N.E., Ardmore, Okla.
