MIRE – At the residence, on French Plantation, six miles above Thibodaux, La., on Friday, July 31, 1942, at 12 o’clock noon, MRS. VIRGINIA BERTHA SEELY MIRE, beloved wife of the late Sylvere Mire, mother of John I. Mire of Thibodaux, La., sister of Mrs. John Trosclair of Sulphur, La., and Charley Seely of Thibodaux, La., also survived by one grandchild, Mrs. Thomas Lee of New Orleans, La.; aged 82 years and two days.
Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the late residence, followed by religious services at St. Philomena Catholic church at Labadieville, La., on Saturday morning, August 1, 1942, at 9 o’clock.
Interment in St. John Catholic cemetery, four miles above Thibodaux, La.
