Sharon Finnell

Sharon Seeley Finnell, 65, of Signal Mountain, died at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, after bravely fighting cancer.

Sharon was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, step-mother, and aunt to her family that she loved so much. She was married to her husband Mike for 18 wonderful years of love, laughter, and special memories.

Sharon was born in Fountainhead, Tenn., and lived in many places including Germany and Alaska, with her family through her father’s service in the Air Force.

She graduated from Red Bank High School in 1969 and worked at Russ Blakely & Associates for 35 years.

Sharon cared for her family deeply and loved arranging family get-togethers. She especially loved being a grandmother to Olivia and sharing adventures and trips together.

Sharon had a wonderful circle of friends that kept her laughing her wonderful laugh until the end.

She will be remembered by all as a woman of true integrity and grace with an endless capacity for caring and loving kindness given to all who she knew.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Finnell; her son, Eric Richardson; her granddaughter, Olivia Richardson; step-children, Whitney Finnell, Quinton Finnell (Jennifer); parents, Robert and Vergie Seeley; brothers, James L. Seeley, Phillip Seeley (Vicki); nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by Jesse Robert Seeley, Jr., (brother).

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Signal Mountain United Methodist Church, located at 3419 Taft Hwy, Signal Mountain, Tenn.

A private burial service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Signal Mountain United Methodist Church c/o the elevator fund or St. Jude Hospital.

Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home 7 Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson 423-531-3975.
