Ruby S. Booth
Graveside service for Ruby Seely Booth, a Portland native, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Mrs. Booth, who was the granddaughter of an Oregon pioneer couple, died Wednesday. She was 87.
She was born July 3, 1901. Mrs. Booth was an organist who played in a number of Portland theaters during the silent film era of the 1920s and 1930s.
She married Joel C. Booth, a state senator from Linn County, in 1939. After her husband’s death in 1954, Mrs. Booth moved back to Portland, where she played organ for six years in Rose City Chapel.
Survivors include many cousins.
