Mrs. Oaks Dies In New Mexico
Mrs. Charles Rena Oaks, 77, 204 Union St., Honesdale, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Milich, Los Alamos, N.M., Wednesday.
Born in South Canaan, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and May Wagner Seeley. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Honesdale, and the Protective Home Circle.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Milich, she is survived by her husband; another daughter, Mrs. Walter Counterman, Fords, N.J.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Oaks was the last surviving member of a family of 11. Her brother, Egbert Seeley, died last September at the age of 89. He was the oldest resident of Waymart at the time of his death.
The funeral will be from the Walter E. Stellman Funeral Home, 313 Park St., Honesdale, Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Stanley Lange will officiate. Interment, Indian Orchard Cemetery.
The body will arrive in Scranton Sunday at 6:55 a.m. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience.
