Pauline Pearl Talboy

1919 – 2015

Pauline Pearl Talboy passed away in her home on June 29th, 2015 in Meridian, Idaho at the age of 96. She was born February 28th, 1919 to Victor (Vic) and Pearl Seely in Caldwell, Idaho. Pauline was very close to her only sibling, Fred Seely, throughout their lives. While attending high school in Enterprise, Oregon, she was actively involved in tennis, skiing, basketball, volleyball, and she was the editor and head writer for her school newspaper. After graduating from high school in 1936, she attended beauty school in Lewiston, Idaho. During WWII, she was a true “Rosie the Riveter”, as she helped build airplanes for Douglas Aircraft, teaching herself by reading blueprints. Eventually she bought her first beauty shop in Wallowa, Oregon, and she continued her career as a beautician until retiring. Pauline loved to travel, going to far away countries like Costa Rica, Italy, Hong Kong, and Norway; however, her favorite place to visit was the Oregon Coast. Pauline also had a great sense of adventure, which led her to take flying lessons and try paragliding. Besides spending time with her family, one of her greatest joys in life was dancing the Polka. She is survived by her daughter Judy and husband Neil Browning (residing in Hanover, VA), stepdaughter Jeanne and husband Ben Brozovich (residing in Federal Way, WA), granddaughter Cara and husband Jay Jenkins (residing in Meridian, ID), and great-grandsons Collin and Preston Jenkins. She is also survived by many close friends and family. A celebration of life was held on July 2nd, 2015 at the Cremation Society of Idaho. She will be interred at Sunset Cemetery in Portland, Oregon next to her late husband and love of her life, Leonard Burch, as well as her beloved brother, Fred Seely.
