Paige S. Smith, 76, of Springettsbury Township, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2003 at York Hospital. Born February 6, 1927, in Nescopeck, Luzerne County, a daughter of the late Roland and Nettie (Bitler) Seely, she was a graduate of Penn State University.
She was employed by Penn State Extension Services, and worked as a teacher at York Suburban High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church; the Women’s Cub of York; the College Club of York; the Pennsylvania State Education Association Retired; and the American Association of Retired Persons. She enjoyed growing, drying and arranging flowers.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 49 years, John T. Smith of York; a sister, Audrey DeIuliis of Altoona; three nieces; and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Nagy.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Baumeister Orcutt & Small Mortuaries, Inc., South Queen at Jackson Street, with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary. In
