Mary Seeley Benson
ELIZABETHOWN – Mary Seeley Benson, 91, of Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown, formerly of York, died Thursday at Masonic Health Care Center. She was the wife of Alfred Guy Benson, who died in 1985.
A memorial service will be noon Wednesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 340 E. Market St., York. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the church. Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, is in charge of arrangements. The Rev. David McCullough will officiate.
Mrs. Benson was born May 2, 1911, in Northumberland. She was the daughter of the late Myron and Edith McPherson Seeley.
She was a coordinator of volunteer for the York County Chapter of the American Red Cross for 21 years. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Colonial Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and Woman’s Club of York.
Mrs. Benson is survived by a daughter, Linda Maguire of Phoenixville; and nieces and nephews.
