TUSCALOOSA – Mary Sealy South, 75, died April 23, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gil McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
She was born August 17, 1942 in Epps, Louisiana. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Lillian Sealy; sisters, Allene Hilliar and Flora McCracken; and brothers, George Sealy and Cecil Sealy.
Survivors include her husband, Adolph South; daughter, Teresa Swarthout (Brent) of Chantilly, Va.; son, Phillip Duckworth (Linda) of Monroe, La.; sisters, Sue Phillips (Jim) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Jeane Martin of Longboat Key, Fla.; sister-in-law, Gloria Sealy of Houma, La.; five grandchildren, Sean, Erin, and Kelsey Swarthout, Allen Duckworth and Amanda Duckworth Carter (Heath); and one great grandchild, Eli Carter.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Big Oak Ranch, P.O. Box 507, Springville, AL 35146.
