ROCKLAND – Mary A. Dennison, 61 died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Born March 1, 1942 in Solon, she was the daughter of Berton E. and Grace Quimby Seeley. As a teenager, she moved with her family to this area and was educated in St. George and Rockland schools.

On September 10, 1960, she married Francis W. Dennison, Sr. in St. George.

Early in her career, Mrs. Dennison was employed by Dr. Langhorn as a receptionist. She later worked more than 24 years as a Claims Specialist with the Maine Department of Labor, retiring in August, 2002.

As a member of the Rockland Emblem Club, Mrs. Dennison also served as President of that group.

Mrs. Dennison was pre-deceased by her parents and step-father, Oscar Gallant. She is survived by her husband of over 42 years, Francis; two daughters, Bonny Winchenbaugh and her husband Conrad of Cheswick, Pennsylvania, Deborah Walters; two sons, Allen Dennison and his wife, Melanie, Francis Dennison, Jr. and his wife Lisa all of Rockland; one niece, Kellie G. DuPonte who was like a daughter, of Massachusetts; two sisters, Connie Sprowl of Pensacola, FL and formerly of Maine, Nancy Pauline and her husband, Joe of West Isle, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren; and Rhonda Grubbs, one of her best friends.
