Marjorie Ann (Krupicka) Pierce
January 3, 1924 – July 21, 2015

Marjorie Ann (Krupicka) Pierce passed away peacefully at her home in Woodburn, Oregon.

She was born and raised on a farm east of Woodburn. After graduating from Woodburn High School she moved to Salem, Oregon and worked in the office of the State Highway Department, the Selective Service during WWII and later for the state legislature. She married Frank Krupicka in Salem in 1945 and they moved to Eugene in 1953. Marjorie worked for Lane County in the Assessment and Taxation office for 32 years before retiring in 1987. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star, Evergreen Chapter 41, an officer of the Eugene Eagles Auxiliary #275 and was on their drill team for many years. She was also a Member of the Eagles Friendship Club, a volunteer of the Hospital Guild and past member of Eugene Business and Professional Women’s Club. Her hobbies were cruising and travel, playing golf, playing cards, gardening and volunteering.

She was married to Henry Pierce in 1973. She was predeceased by husband Frank Krupicka and second husband Henry Pierce, her brother Gordon Seely and grandson Jeffery Bright, of Irvine, California.

She is survived by her children Sherry (Jim) Bright of Aurora, Oregon and Craig (Diana) Krupicka of Vancouver, Washington; three grandchildren Christy Bright of Mt. Angel, Oregon, Jason (Melinda) Krupicka of Vancouver, Washington, and Michelle Miller of Vancouver, Washington; and three great-grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Miller of Vancouver, Washington and Carson Bright of Mt. Angel, Oregon.

Marjorie was adored by her family and delighted in being with them. Her many friends were also an important part of her life.

A memorial service will take place at the main building of Country Meadows, 155 S. Evergreen Road, Woodburn, Oregon at 1:30 PM Friday, July 31, 2015.
