Marilyn Virkitis, 67
Marilyn Virkitis, 67, of Clifford Twp., died Thursday morning at home. She was the wife of Andrew Virkitis. They married May 12, 1962.
Born April 20, 1942, in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Paul Sealey and Mary Best Sealey Panfili. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family.
She is also survived by a son, Rick Virkitis and wife, Pat, Richmondale; two daughters, Cheryl Wise and husband, John, Lebanon; and Kristal Virkitis, at home; three grandchildren, Colin Virkitis and Colby and Nickole Wise; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Virkitis, and two brothers, Roger and Joseph Sealey.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 4 Morris Place at Terrace Street, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church St., Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
