HORAN, Marcia A. (Seeley) R.N. Age 50, 122 Licac Dr. of Horseheads, NY, died Thursday, July 17, 1997 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, Timothy P. Horan; son, Michael T. Horan, at home; parents, Robert and Virginia Neff Seeley, of Elmira, NY, brother, Robert J. Seeley, of Huber Heights, OH, sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and George Milunich, of Binghamton, NY; sisters-in-law, Lucille and Donald Tchir, of Tehachapi, CA, Christine and John Kinnan, of Geneva, NY; eight nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by her sister Sharon Seeley. Marcia received her AS in Nursing from CCC. She graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Nursing and Occupational Education. She worked at Arnot Ogden Medical Center for several years. Currently she was employed at SCT BOCES as an Occupational Education Teacher. She was active in creating new programs and writing new curriculum to help her students achieve their best. She was chosen by the BOCES students in 1994 as Teacher of the Year, an honor she felt was one of her greatest accomplishments. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Horseheads, NY. Marcia was active in Bible Study, Sunday School and Missionary Projects. Her faith and ability to instill faith in others was ever present. It was Marcia’s request that there be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Marcia’s Life will take place, Monday July 28, 1997 at 10 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 1034 West Broad St. Horseheads, NY, with the Rev. Robyn Wernham officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations to one of the following in Marcia’s memory: The Living Memorial Fund, c/o The First United Methodist Church, 1034 W.
