Mrs. James K. (Lucy Frances Seeley) Phipps, 69, of Clinton, Miss., formerly of Decatur, died 8:05 a.m. Monday (Sept. 25, 1978) in Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Miss.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Phipps was born in Coles County, daughter of John and Dora Seeley. She was a retired artist and taught in the Decatur Public Schools. She married James Kenneth Phipps in 1926. He died in 1966.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Berry of Clinton, Miss.; sisters, Mrs. Harold (Flossie) Highland of Champaign; Mrs. Ralph (Oma) Logan of Arcola; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
