Mrs. John B. Truax
BROADALBIN, Jan. 17—Mrs. Lovina Seeley Truax, 90, oldest member of the Providence Baptist Church, died at 2:10 P. M. yesterday at her home in the Town of Providence after an illness of six weeks. Mrs. Truax was born on Christmas Day, 1858, the daughter of Hiram and Joanna Bates Seeley. She was the widow of John B. Truax, who died several years ago. Besides the church, she was a member of the Ladies’ Home Circle of Hagedorn’s Mills. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Francis Orr, Wells, Mrs. Luther Orr, Galway, and Mrs. Isaac Sleezer, Broadalbin; two sons, George Truax, Amsterdam, and Aaron, Galway; three brothers, Andrew, Benjamin and Joseph Seeley, all of Broadalbin; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Jeffords funeral home in Broadalbin at 2 P. M. Wednesday with the Rev. Carl B. Olsen, pastor of the Saratoga Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Burchard G. Ham, pastor of the Broadalbin Baptist Church. Burial will be In Union Mills Cemetery.
