Judy Arroyo Judy Arroyo, 72, of Creston died July 10, 2014, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. No public services will be held. Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston, is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com. Judy Marie Arroyo, daughter of Helen Irene (Hiatt) and Eldon Alvin Seley, was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Nevinville. Judy graduated from Cromwell High School, and then the University of Iowa, and also attended school in New York. On March 17, 1967, Judy married Alfred Arroyo in Brooklyn, N.Y. Judy worked for AT&T in administration most of her life. They moved to Creston in 2004, and Alfred died Oct. 9, 2011. Judy is survived by her mother Helen Seley of Creston and sister Marianne (husband Dennis) Turner of Leander, Texas. In addition to her husband, Judy was preceded in death by her father.
