Mrs. Joyce Halfacre, age 81 of Jackson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday morning, September 24, 2016 with her family at her side.
She was born on February 15, 1935 in Chester County, TN to the late Joe and Gladys Seeley. She married Dearl Halfacre on June 13, 1949.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Halfacre; and siblings, Kenneth Seeley, Frank Seeley, Max Seeley, Billy Seeley, and Margaret Stewart.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dearl Halfacre; children, Judy Page (Charles), Steve Halfacre (Susan), Vicky Shires (Don), Pam Bearden (Charlie), and John Halfacre (Kathy); 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Halfacre will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 3 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with Rev. Larry Woodruff officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service.
Pallbearers to serve will be Jason Page, Daniel Hurst, Brian Brown, Jonathan Brown, Jacky Lam, and Jeremy Halfacre.
