Joyce Epps, age 78, passed away on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010. She was born in St. Louis, Mo. on Jan. 23, 1932 to Emmett Clair and Alma Barbara Fuhrmann Seeley.
She was a retired utility administration clerk for the City of Yoakum and a member of the Progress Baptist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Sherry Hodges and husband Kenneth of Hallettsville, Debbie Roome and husband Lawrence of Louise, and Beth Williams and husband Quin of Casper Wyoming; son, Danny Epps and wife Karen of Auburn, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Rev. Ellis Epps; and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
A home going celebration will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Hodges and Rev. Quin Williams officiating. Burial will be at Yoakum Restland Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Progress Baptist Church or Cable Hill Ranch.
