Josephine Crum
Josephine Crum, born November 5, 1918, of Emeritus Assistive Living, Medina, who served her family, friends and community for ninety one years, passed on to be with the Lord Friday, January 22, 2010.
She was an active member of the Medina First Baptist Church. She served as Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and Treasurer for King’s Daughters. She was affectionately known as the jewelry lady at Ziegler’s Department Store for over 20 years. Josephine was married to Wayne Crum of Medina for 71 years prior to his passing in 2008.
Josephine is survived by daughters, Toni Abele (Fred)- Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rhonda Crum (Sue Reynolds)-New Vienna, Ohio; three grandchildren, Doug Pelton (Julie), Bob Pelton (Claudia) and Andrea Greene (Tracy) and several great-grandchildren, Paige Pelton, Bobby Pelton and Bennet Pelton (Michigan), Morgan Sweeney, Madison Beal (Medina), Nathan Pelton and Katie Pelton (Indiana).
Family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, at the Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court St., Medina,OH 44256.
