Mrs. Jessie Bates, 83, of Mansfield, formerly of Tioga, died Tuesday, December 1, 1959. She was the widow of Matthew Bates. Born in Chatham Township, she was the daughter of William and Louisa Roud [Rude] Seely. Surviving are one son, Robert of Tioga, two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Remick of Buffalo, NY and Mrs. Agnes Cruttenden of Mansfield, with whom Mrs. Bates reside d, 10 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Tioga today at 2pm. the Rev.
