Hazel E. Foley

Mrs. Hazel Foley, 86, of 632 W. Spruce St., died at 1:23 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Titusville Area Hospital.

Mrs. Foley was born on June 17, 1918, at Petroleum Center, Venango County, a daughter of the late Ernest and Emma Mott Seeley. She was married to Kenneth A. “Bud” Foley on Dec. 11, 1948, in Pleasantville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1980. She was previously married to Orra Muir, Sr.

Mrs. Foley had attended the Titusville schools. She had been employed as a clerk at the Drake Well Gift Shop. She had also been employed at Corry Manufacturing in Corry, Farley’s Industrial Laundry and was an Avon representative for many years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her close friends. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Mrs. Foley is survived by survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sue Lowros of Ellwood City and Mrs. Thomas (Brenda) Tarr of Titusville; the following grandchildren, Daniel Lowros, Lori Fenton, Kristi Neely, Mark Muir, Michael Muir, Kim Ciccarelli, Jan Fulkerson and Cory Tarr; the following great-grandchildren, Kayla Fenton, Ryan Fenton, Marissa Neely, Kennedy Neely, Alaina Lowros, Jordan Muir, Weston Muir, John Muir, Shane Shreffler, Cory Ciccarelli, Nathan Ciccarelli and Olivia Fulkerson; a special daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vince (Penny Muir) Socha of Titusville; a brother, Charles Seeley, of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Martin of Tidioute; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful cat Simon.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, O. William “Bill” Muir, a brother, Arthur Seeley; a sister, Sadie Seeley Shrout; and an infant sister, Mary Seeley.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 11 a.m. Dr. Barry E. Cressman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 174 E. Bissell Ave., Oil City, Pa. 16301 or to the charity of one’s choice.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hazel E. Foley was conducted from the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Dr. Barry E. Cressman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Daniel Lowros, Ken Neely, Mark Muir, Glenn Ciccarelli, Cliff Fulkerson and Cory Tarr.

Relatives attending were Mrs. Sue Lowros of Ellwood City; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tarr, Cory Tarr, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Socha, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Neely, Marissa and Kennedy Neely, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ciccarelli, Cory and Nathan Ciccarelli and Shane Shreffler, all of Titusville; Charles Seeley of Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. Marie Martin, Twila Williams and Dorothy Carnahan of Tidioute; Lori Fenton, Kayla and Ryan Fenton of Ridgway; Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fulkerson and Olivia Fulkerson of Charlotte, N.C.; Daniel Lowros, Shelly Carter and Alaina Lowros of Pleasantville; and Mark Muir of Ramseur, N.C.

There was an additional attendance of relatives and friends from the Titusville community.
