Gwendolyn Seely Goates passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was born to her beloved parents F. Leland (Jim) Seely and Grace Emily Thompson on October 16, 1934 in Brigham City, Utah. Gwendolyn loved teaching 2nd grade as well as being involved in singing and teaching dance. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Joseph Goates on December 18, 1959 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They together have 4 children Linda Marie McKinney (Mark). Michael Joseph Goates (Deena), Katherine Mills (Kelly) and Lori Charlesworth (David). Gwendolyn had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a true disciple all her life.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the newly constructed church 1850 South 2300 East, Spanish Fork, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Lehi City Cemetery, where a brief graveside service will be held prior to the burial at 2:00 p.m.
