Frances May Manley, 89, Camp Verde, Ariz., died at 2:15 p.m. April 3, 2005, at Quantum Health Care in Cottonwood, Ariz.

The daughter of the late Jesse and Ferida (Foster) Seeley, she was born April 17, 1915. She was the widow of James Gilbert Manley, whom she married May 30, 1936. He died Feb. 20, 1993.

Her family said Manley loved the Lord, continually cared for others and was famous for her peach cobbler.

Survivors include two sons, Morris Manley, Martinsville, and Marvin Manley, Camp Verde, Ariz.; three sisters, Thelma Jackson, Winfield, Ala., Bettie Hicks and Mary Alice Seeley and a brother, William Seeley, all of Lake City, Fla.; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Richard and Robert Seeley, and a sister, Dorothy Sands, also preceded her in death.

The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 Mingus Ave., Cottonwood, Ariz. Burial will be at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.
