Mrs. Eliza Seeley Oldfield, wife of the late Aaron Alfonso Oldfield, of Chicago, passed away early Sunday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Anton R. Lotz, 1213 West Pleasant street. Private funeral services were conducted this morning at 11 o’clock at the Walker mortuary, West Main street, Dr. D.L. McNary, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, conducting the services. Interment will be late today in Rosehill cemetery, Chicago. Mrs. Oldfield was born in Litchfield, Ill., and would have reached the age of 86 on March 9. She was a member of Freeport Chapter No. 303, Order of the Eastern Star, and member of the Comforting Circle of King’s Daughters. Surviving Mrs. Oldfield are three children, one son, Attorney Alonzo D. Oldfield, Chicago, and two daughters, Mrs. H.N. Messinger, San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. Lotz, Freeport. Attorney Oldfield came to Freeport to be with Mr. and Mrs. Lotz and will accompany them to Chicago for the final rites.
