Drucilla Seely Bott: EX-PRIMARY BOARD MEMBER, 83, DIES IN S.L.

Drucilla Seely Bott, 83, former LDS Primary General Board member, musician and civic worker, died April 12, 1988, at her home in Salt Lake City after a short illness.

She was born Jan. 14, 1905, in Castledale, Emery County, and married Boyd Christian Bott on Feb. 14, 1930, in the Salt Lake Temple. They recently celebrated their 58th anniversary.

Bott was a graduate of East High School and LDS Business College, where she taught six years. She served in various auxiliaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was serving as president of the Olympus Stake Primary when called to the general board in 1965.

She and her husband served a church mission in Australia, where he was called in 1960 as president of the first stake in Melbourne. They later served a full-time mission at the Los Angeles Temple Visitors Center and have been Salt Lake Temple workers.

She was a violinist, a vocalist and a member of several musical and other organizations, including Anti-Cants, Opera Appreciation Club, a church history study group and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday in the Olympus First Ward, 4100 Camille Drive (2500 East). Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 4670 Highland Drive and at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Holladay Memorial Park. (See obituary on B8.)
